Who we are, and why we have notes:
Local to Alexandria, Virginia, we’re best friends building community and talking about, well, everything. We’re both editors from 9-5, hold master’s degrees in publishing from GWU, and co-founded and ran a successful romance book club at a local independent bookstore for four years.
When it came time for our next adventure, we thought: what if we do our own thing, even nebulously? Those conversations led us here, to a space we want to share as we grow and change.
We read—excessively—so we’ll talk about books, and hang with you via both virtual book clubs and local meetups. We like to buy things other people recommend to us, and evaluate them. We like to watch great films and terrible television, and yell about it to anyone who will listen. Usually, we end up somewhere together in two versions of the same outfit. We have extensive opinions about salad, kitchen gadgets, and when it’s time to switch from red wine to rose.
We laugh a lot, at ourselves, our pets, and our kids. We cry about everything. We hope you like us, and stick around.
